TEFL / TESOL Class Details

LENGTH OF TRAINING:

4 weeks full-time.

TEFL COURSE DATES & AVAILABILITY:

DAILY SCHEDULE & INTENSITY:

Students should expect to be in class from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm (with breaks, of course), Monday-Friday. Weekends are primarily free for sight-seeing and relaxation, but some homework is required.

COURSE LOCATION:

Run in cooperation with the Benedict School - the biggest and most popular language school in the city, the St.Petersburg TEFL course is located in the heart of the city, near the Winter Palace and the Hermitage Museum.

CLASS SIZE & FACILITIES:

Classes are capped at 12 students; Internet access is available at the school facilities.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS & ACTIVITIES:

With the possible exception of the Louvre, there is no museum in the world that rivals the Hermitage in size and quality. Its collection is so large that it would take years to view it in its entirety; there were nearly three million works on exhibit. The museum is especially strong in Italian Renaissance and French Impressionist paintings, as well as possessing outstanding collections of works by Rembrandt, Picasso, and Matisse.

Visitors should also take advantage of its excellent Greek and Roman antiquities collection and its exhibits of Siberian and Central Asian art. Not least among the attractions of the Hermitage is the museum itself, with its fine interior decoration and architectural detail. The Hermitage is so enormous, its collection so striking and diverse, and its interior so attractive in its own right, that many visitors return several times during their stay in St. Petersburg.

Housing Arrangements

Upon enrollment, you will be put in touch with the Onsite Course Director who can assist with arranging your accommodations during the course. Accommodation options can be within walking distance of the school or well connected by public transportation -- your accommodations will never be more than a 20-minute bus ride from the school.

Host Family - Approximately 28000 RUB, one student per room. Sometimes able to check-in to housing 1-2 weeks early.

Communication, Phone and Internet - You may buy or rent a cellular phone from any of the numerous phone stores in St. Petersburg. Internet is widely available at local Internet Cafes.
