About Teaching English in Europe

The ESL job market for teaching English abroad in Europe has always been strong, but with the economic and cultural integration brought on by the emergence of the European Union, the use of English as a common language of culture and commerce has increased several times over, and with it, the demand for certified English teachers.

TEFL Job markets are also booming in Central and Eastern Europe where countries like the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, and Hungary (to name just a few) have made learning English a top priority for students, workers, and business professionals.

I chose International TEFL Academy because after my first conversation with an advisor I felt comfortable and at ease. The advisor was very patient and answered my many questions and hypotheticals. I felt that this was a place where I would get the support and guidance I would need to take the next step.

I chose ITA primarily because of their huge and active alumni community which has been an invaluable source of information and encouragement throughout my experience - it was definitely a good choice.

The TEFL course in Florence was rigorous and rewarding. It was described as an intensive course and this was no idle boast. I liked it very much. The difficulty of the coursework prepared me for the challenges of foreign language instruction and I cannot imagine teaching English without the training I received.
