LENGTH OF TRAINING:

4 weeks full-time.

TEFL COURSE DATES & AVAILABILITY:

DAILY SCHEDULE & INTENSITY:

Students should expect to be in class weeks 1-3 from 8:30 am - 3 pm (with breaks, of course), Monday-Friday. Expect some class observation and teaching practice commitments some evenings & most probably part of each weekend as well. Week 4 is largely consumed with completing written assessment tasks and job placement. Weekends are primarily free for sight-seeing and relaxation, but some homework is required.

COURSE LOCATION:

Our TEFL training school is located 15 minutes from the heart of Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.

CLASS SIZE & FACILITIES:

Classes are about 16 students; Internet access is available at the school and housing facilities, which also includes free printing & photocopying.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS & ACTIVITIES:

This Phnom Penh, Cambodia TEFL course includes an initial welcome party the Sunday before class starts. There is a range of informal social opportunities throughout the TEFL course.

Mean Chey District, where you will stay during the course, is located in the south-eastern part of Phnom Penh. The Central Market is 25mn away by taxi (try a Tuk Tuk!).

Landmarks in the local area include: The Royal Palace and The Silver Pagoda, The Independence Monument, Ta Prohm Temple at Tonle Bati (built in the 12th century), Wat Langka (one of the city's five pagodas founded in 1442), Wat Ounalom (1443), and The National Museum of Cambodia.

IMPORTANT! Before enrolling for any International TEFL Academy TEFL course, it is imperative that you speak to an Admissions Advisor.

Your advisor will answer your questions and assist you with matters such as your eligibility & enrollment; course costs & logistics (such as housing); and your options for employment as an English teacher once you complete your TEFL Class.

Note: A 4-year BA college degree is not a core entry requirement to enroll for this course.

Housing Arrangements

Housing costs are included in the TEFL course tuition.

Western standard hotel-type accommodation (25 nights) located within a 5-to-10-minute walk of the training centre.

Each trainee is allocated a furnished bedroom and a private bathroom. The facilities and fixtures in each bedroom typically include: air conditioning, WIFI, a double bed, lockable wardrobe, desk, chair and a bedside table. Cheap laundry facilities can be found in the local community.

Accommodation is readily available for couples and friends who want to share a room. In cases where there is more than one trainee occupying a room through personal choice (couples & friends who want to stay together) each person is entitled to a fee reduction of US $75.00.

If you do not require accommodation during the course, you are entitled to a fee reduction of $150.00 USD.
