A bustling, dynamic and industrious center of commerce and culture, it is the largest city in the country, the economic capital, and the cultural trendsetter. The streets, where much of the city's life takes place, are a charming jumble of endless markets, shops, pavement cafés, stands-on-wheels and sidewalk vendors selling everything from high definition televisions to live seafood.

It's impossible not to be infected by its distinct combination of native heritage, French cultural influence, and 21st-century globalization as modern skyscrapers stand side-by-side with fading colonial buildings, Chinese-style pagodas, and historical landmarks such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post Office and the Reunification Hall.

TEFL / TESOL Class Details

LENGTH OF TRAINING:

4 weeks full-time.

TEFL COURSE DATES & AVAILABILITY:

DAILY SCHEDULE & INTENSITY:

Students should expect to be in class weeks 1-3 from 8:30 am - 3 pm (with breaks, of course), Monday-Friday. Week 4 is largely consumed with completing written assessment tasks and job placement. Weekends are primarily free for sight-seeing and relaxation, but some homework is required.

COURSE LOCATION:

Our TEFL training schools are located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), the economic and cultural center of Vietnam.

CLASS SIZE & FACILITIES:

Classes are capped at 24 students; Internet access is available at the school and housing facilities, which also includes free printing & photocopying.

The Cost of the TEFL Class is $1,798 USD ($720 Deposit + $1,078 Balance).

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS & ACTIVITIES:

This Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, TEFL course includes an initial welcome party the Sunday before class starts. There is a range of informal social opportunities throughout the TEFL course.

Go Vap District, where you will stay during the course, is a typical suburb of Ho Chi Minh City located north of Tan Son Nhat International Airport. It takes 25 minutes by taxi (US $10.00) to reach the centre of Ho Chi Minh City from Go Vap District.

The historical Ben Thanh Market is a direct bus ride away (US $1.50). Landmarks in the local area include Mercedes Benz (Vietnam), Isuzu (Vietnam), the Pandora Shopping Mall, Quang Trung Software Park (the largest information technology hub in Vietnam) and the renowned Go Vap Orphanage.

FURTHER DETAILS:

Reminder: A 4-year BA college degree is a core entry requirement to enroll for this course. English teachers will need a bachelor's degree in order to teach English in Vietnam.

Housing Arrangements

This course comes with free, western standard accommodation (25 nights) within a 5 minute walk of the training centre, either in one of our own residential properties or in a local hotel.

Housing begins the Sunday before the course starts. It is recommended to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City then.

Each student is allocated their own, fully furnished bedroom and a private bathroom. The facilities and fixtures in each bedroom include: air conditioning, WIFI, a double bed, lockable wardrobe, desk, swivel chair and a bedside table.

Students also have access to kitchen and laundry facilities. We want to make sure your living conditions are comfortable while you are completing the 4-week TEFL course.

Accommodation is readily available for couples and friends who want to share a room. In cases where there is more than one trainee occupying a room through personal choice (couples & friends who want to stay together) each person is entitled to a fee reduction of US $75.00.

If you do not require accommodation during the course, you are entitled to a fee reduction of US $150.00.
